Clary stared into the laughing face of her brother. Jace was dead. Her mother, Luke, Simon, Isabelle, all dead. Magnus, Alec- everyone. Was there anything left to live for?

“So?” Sebastian asked. “Will you let me help you? We could rule the world, little sister. You and me. Or you could just die here.”

He seemed so sure she would take his hand. And for a moment, she considered it. Did she really want to die? What would Jace do? She took a deep breath and held out her hand. Sebastian smiled and reached for her.

“Psych.” she said, and let go, falling to the rocky cliffs below.
